A 9-member delegation of South Korean University "Pakistan Global Institute" in Pakistan visited Allama Iqbal Open University under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, Kim Yong Kim.

The delegation of Korean academics included Dr. Choi Yoon, Dr. Baje Em, Dr. Kim Myung Soo, Jo Ja Moon, Jureng Jung, Lee Yoon Moon, Yi Ping Ran and Kim Yuna.
A function was organized in honor of the delegation, presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mehmood.
The principal officers of the university were present on this occasion. On this occasion, Dr. Nasir Mehmood said that the South Korean University 'Pakistan Global Institute' is South Korea's best gift to Pakistan.
Briefing on the profile of the university, Dr. Zahid Majeed, Director, Department of International Affairs told the delegation that the scope of Open University has now spread to the whole world and currently the number of international students is more than 450.
The Korean delegation expressed its desire to cooperate in the field of machine translation of university languages.
Later, the Korean delegation also visited the University's Institute of Education Technology, Central Library, Radio TV Studios, Data Center and Printing Press.
پاکستان میں جنوبی کوریاکی جامعہ "پاکستان گلوبل انسٹی ٹیوٹ"کے نو رکنی وفد نے وائس چانسلر، کم یونگ کم کی قیادت میں علامہ اقبال اوپن یونیورسٹی کا دورہ کیا۔
کورین ماہرین تعلیم کے وفد میں ڈاکٹر چوئی یون، ڈاکٹر باجے ایم، ڈاکٹر کم میونگ سو، جو جا مون، جورینگ جنگ، لی یون مون، یی پنگ رن اور کم یونا شامل تھے۔
وفد کے اعزاز میں ایک تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا، وائس چانسلر، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ناصر محمود نے صدارت کی۔
یونیورسٹی کے پرنسپل افسران اس موقع پر موجود تھے۔اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر ناصر محمود نے کہا کہ جنوبی کوریا کی یونیورسٹی 'پاکستان گلوبل انسٹی ٹیوٹ'پاکستان کے لئے جنوبی کوریا کا بہترین تحفہ ہے۔
یونیورسٹی کی پروفائل پر بریننگ دیتے ہوئے، شعبہ بین الاقوامی امور کے ڈائریکٹر، ڈاکٹر زاہد مجید نے وفد کو بتایا کہ اوپن یونیورسٹی کا دائرہ کار اب پوری دنیا تک پھیل چکا ہے اور اس وقت انٹرنیشنل طلبہ کی تعداد 450سے زائد ہے۔
کورین وفد نے یونیورسٹی کی زبانوں کی مشین ٹرانسلیشن کے شعبے میں اشتراک عمل کی خواہش کا اظہار کیا۔
بعد ازاں کورین وفد نے یونیورسٹی کی انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ایجوکیشن ٹیکنالوجی،سنٹرل لائبریری ریڈیو ٹی وی سٹوڈیوز، ڈیٹا سینٹر اور پرنٹنگ پریس کا دورہ بھی کیا۔
