Bies Abbottabad Top Honours For Batrasi College

ABBOTTABAD June 14: All the three top positions in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations-2011 of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Abbottabad, were clinched by the science group students of Pakistan Scouts Cadet College Batrasi, Mansehra.

According to the BISE officials on Tuesday, of the total 47,401 candidates 34,240 were declared successful while the overall pass percentage stood at 72.23.

In science group, Ikramullah obtained 971 of total 1,050 marks to secure first position, Haider Zaman with 970 marks stood second and Mohammad Nouman with 969 marks third. They were all students of Pakistan Scout Cadet College Batrasi.

In girls science group, Anab Sardar of Pakistan International Public School, Abbottabad, grabbed first position by securing 966 marks, Mahnoor Ashfaq of Sky International School Mansehra with 961 marks second and Maryam Kiyani of PIPS Abbottabad stood third by obtaining 958 marks.

In girls humanities group, Nazia Bibi of Hera Children Home Bagra, Haripur, got first position with 873 marks, Tanzeela Ahmed Khan of Government High School Bakki, Mansehra, second with 872 marks and Bushra of Govt Girls High School Shinkiari Mansehra got third position with 868 marks.

In boys humanities group, private candidates Mohammad Saleem and Abu Bakr clinched first and second positions by obtaining 842 and 802 marks, respectively. Syed Mehar Ali of Modern Public School and College, Abbottabad, got third position with 791 marks.Dawn
