Islamabad:July 05: Directorate General of Special Education and Social Welfare is commemorating ‘One Year of the Ratification of the United Nation Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD)’ today (July 5).
Federal Secretary Ministry of Capital Administration and Development (CA&D), Imtiaz Inayat Elahi will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
Federal Minister for Ministry of CA&D, Nazar Muhammad Gondal would be chief guest of the event. Representative of international and national NGO’s, Disabled Persons Organisation (DPOs) and persons with disabilities would participate in the seminar. The event is organised in collaboration with STEP, Sight-Savers Pakistan and Lenoard Cheshire Disability Pakistan with the theme of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and exploring avenues for providing job access to the marginalized segments of the society.
Persons with Disabilities will be provided with Sewing machines, wheel chairs, assertive aids, financial assistance and micro credit facility for starting small-scale business.The news.
