KOHAT:21 July: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has accepted the longstanding demand of teachers to upgrade their posts, a move that would benefit around 70,000 primary and high school teachers.
This was stated by district president of teachers association Tahir Lachwi during a meeting here the other day.
He said that teachers in grades 5, 7, 9 and 10 had been promoted to grade-12.
He said that all CT and other teachers would be granted grade-15 and one third of them could be promoted to grade-16. Besides, grade-12 had been granted to teachers working on post of qari and they could avail the opportunity to be promoted to grade-15.
Mr Lachwi said that the new formula would benefit 50,000 teachers of primary schools and 20,000 teachers of high schools in government sector.Dawn.
