ISLAMABAD:September 24: Course workshops of PGD/MSc in gender and women studies of the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) for the second spring semester are set to start today (Monday). The workshops are being arranged by Department of Gender and Women Studies.
Students from DG Khan, Lahore and Peshawar regions will attend these workshops at their regions through video conferencing while the students from other regions will attend the workshop at Begum Nusrat Bhutto Auditorium of the university.
The workshops will continue until September 29 from 8:30am to 3pm daily. The courses include Research Methods in Gender Studies, Applied Statistics in Gender Studies, Feminist Debates on Gender Inequalities, Feminism in Islam, Sociological Theory-I and Sociology of Gender Issues: Theoretical Background.
