ISLAMABAD:01 February: An art exhibition displaying creative work of students from the Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) was organised at the Rawalpindi Arts Council on Tuesday.
FUI Rector Professor Belal A Khan was chief guest on the occasion, while Prof Maqsud Alam Bukhari, principal of Foundation University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, was also present.
Several eminent artists, faculty members and art lovers from the twin cities visited the exhibition and praised the artistic work of FUI students.
Appreciating the innovative work of the youngsters, Dr Belal admired the faculty members for encouraging talented young artists and providing them with an opportunity to portray their skills.
“We create stimulating environment for our students so as to get best out of them and develop an aesthetic sense in them. Their work speaks the volume of their artistic sense,” he said.
He informed the audience that the Department of Arts and Design had been launched at the University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2005. “This year, we are exhibiting the work of MFA Graphic Design students and the main idea is to showcase to the advertising community of the twin cities the quality students we are producing.”
