PESHAWAR:26 September: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Christian Student Community on Tuesday staged a protest against the attack on a church in Mardan on 'Love for the Prophet Day' and demanded judicial probe into the incident under the Act 292-C.
Holding banners and placards dozens of Christian students across the province gathered outside Peshawar press club and shouted slogans in favor of their religion and teachings.
Talking to reporters, representative of the community, Romail Masih, lamented that ransacking of the church and its property by an enraged mob during the violent protest by the Muslims against anti-Islam film.
"Christianity is a peaceful religion like Islam but it is beyond understanding that why Muslim attacked on their church and burnet their Holy book Ingeel which carrying the messages of Prohphet Isa (Jesus) of serving humanity," he deplored.
Mr. Romail asked federal government and Supreme Court to take legal action against the protesters who burnt the church.
He also said that the Christaian community has fully condemned the blasphemous movie against Islam, adding that the filmmaker was liable to death sentence.F.P.Report.
