Islamabad:September 22:Parliamentary Secretary of Human Rights, Rubina Saadat Qaim Khani, in order to promote child rights in Pakistan Thursday visited Roots School System DHA campus, says a press release.
Present on the occasion were RSS Executive Director, Khadija Mushtaq, founder Riffat Mushtaq, and staff of the school and shared the success of the community service project of girl empowerment.
Rubina Saadat Qaim Khani said that the present government is committed to taking effective measures to end violence against children. Establishment of parliamentary forum for protecting child rights is a milestone in this regard. She applauded the contribution of RSS and other organizations like Unicef, public and private NGOs, civil society and the media in projecting, protecting and promoting child rights in Pakistan.
She encouraged the youth to collectively move in a positive direction for the development of education in Pakistan. She said that every child has a legal right to gain quality education that is why through the Child Rights Forum all children can get an education.
She appreciated Roots LGCF project, which has now evolved into a Rotary International organization with more than 500 registered members. LGCF is unique in the sense that currently, it has several international members with 10 global ambassadors worldwide, who are constantly generating awareness in their communities about the importance of young girls’ education in Pakistan.
The young girls of the Kothan Kalan Government School, Morgah were also present and shared their stories. Rubina Saadat stressed that every child of Pakistan can voice the indifferences and thrive to make a positive change around them.The news.
