PESHAWAR:17 June: The National Bank of Pakistan, Staff College Peshawar has embarked upon a programme of providing on the spot training and advisory services to the farmers on the agriculture model farm to be irrigated by solar tube wells.
In this connection a strategy has been approved in which farmers in different areas were being provided technical know how and they were being given necessary training to run the solar machinery with better skills in a bid to boost farm output considerably.
In the light of the instructions given by Director NBP Staff College, Peshawar Ansar Raza Goaha, a training session was held at Spinkhak Ziarat Kaka Sahib, Nowshera today in which a large number of farmers and elite of the area participated.
A group of agriculture field officers and general managers agriculture from four regions of Khyber Pukhtukhawa along with Coordinator Shabib Khan visited the agriculture farm of Gul Muhammad and arranged an interactive session with the farmers and gave them guidelines on the technique in the new technology.
The participants of the training were given useful advices and their suggestions were sought as how to run the solar tube wells for better irrigation purposes of the farmland in a bid to boost farm production.
The farmers showed great interest in the training and assured their full coordination to the NBP staff in the provision of training to them. During the training session the finance facility and technical services for “drip irrigation” were also advised to the land lords for the better utilization of water resources and maximum crop production. More sessions will also be arranged by the NBP staff so that the farmers could be familiarized with the technique.F.P. Report.
