Karachi:17 April: Vice Chancellor Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser laid the foundation stone of a modern institute of pharmacy here on Monday and said that a full-fledged hospital would also be built soon. The Jamlana Institute of Pharmacy would be built with a cost of Rs 400million and it would house research facilities for MPhil and PhD students. Moreover, a modern hospital would also be set up on build, operate, transfer (BOT) basis, which would also provide free of cost medical facilities to university staff and their families. Dean Faculty of Pharmacy Dr Ali Akbar Siyal said pharmacy was now a thriving industry and university would ensure high standard of education and research at the Jamlana Institute of Pharmacy. ppi.
