PESHAWAR:10 August: Governor Masood Kausar said on Thursday the government wanted the best education system implemented in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata). He was speaking at a meeting with the board of directors of the Fata Education Foundation here.
The governor stressed the need for introducing modern subjects in the syllabus to equip the tribal people with advance knowledge to face the emerging challenges. He said the young generation should be involved in policy-making to bring new ideas and creativity in the education system in Fata. The governor also called for exploring new methods to make the examination system transparent and bringing to the fore talent in Fata. He asked for encouraging the participation of women in teaching profession to increase the enrolment of female students in Fata schools and colleges.
Earlier, the Governor was briefed about the progress on the decisions taken during the first BoD meeting, status of funds, approval of organisational structure and placement of existing staff and approval of budget for 2012-13.The news.
