Islamabad:June 18: Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) is organising ‘Invention to Innovation Summit-2012’ in collaboration with the Institute for Research Promotion (IRP) and University of the Punjab, Lahore, here on Monday.
Minister of State for Science & Technology Rahela Shahadat Baloch and Federal Secretary for Science & Technology will inaugurate the summit.PSF Chairman Dr. Manzoor H. Soormro, Vice Chancellor, University of the Punjab, Lahore Dr. Mujahid Kamran and CEO, Institute for Research Promotion Abid Sherwani have joined hands to establish industry-academia linkages for the uplift of applied research.
Dr. Farid A. Malik, Ex-Chairman, Pakistan Science Foundation will present a keynote address on Technology Competitiveness-S&T Policy for Pakistan.Feroze Khan will deliver a talk on stimulating private investment in New Technologies-Solution for Pakistan. The purpose of this summit is to pass on domino effect of science to the society to establish strong linkages between industry and scientists for commercialisation of indigenous technologies.
The people having technologies engrossed with local R&D have been invited to show their ideas through posters presentations, documentaries and physical prototypes etc. The industries and academicians will also present their innovative products and research experiences.The news.
