ITP educate students on road safety

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) arranged a road safety workshop at Islamabad Model College for Boys G-10/4 to acquaint students with traffic laws on Thursday, spokesman for police said. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Moeen Masood, in his special message read out on the occasion, said that the aim of holding such workshops was to acquaint students with traffic laws while inculcating better traffic sense among them. He said that ITP had become model of excellence through its service-oriented policies and further endeavoring to come up to the expectations of the general public by ensuring traffic discipline in the city. ITP Inspector education team Mehfooz Kiyani said that traffic police had arranged several workshops in various educational institutions would continue to hold lectures in future as well. This exercise would prove helpful in providing a disciplined traffic system to the masses, he added. College Head Mistress of Junior Section Ms Lubna Mehmud stated that the ITP had improved the image of police and ensured community policing through public cooperation and eliminated the VIP culture.Daily Times.
