Kurram Students’ Union launched Iftikhar

PESHAWAR: Minister of Information and Culture Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that people of Fata were a part of us and they have the same trafitions and culture as we have.He claimed that their fair demands were always met and the government had taken historical steps for them. He viewed that US, Pakistan and Afghanistan had to come up with a joint policy to counter terrorism. Without peace in Afghanistan peace in Fata was not possible and without peace in Fata peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was not possible, Mian Iftikhar added.He said this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Kurram Students Union at Nishter Hall. Members, representatives and students from different tribal parties, besides Chairman Mutahhida Kabail Party, Malik Habib Aurakzai and senior engineer Arshad Ahmed Khan also participated in the ceremony.Minister assured the students that their demands would be met and said that he would put in a word with the concerned authorities about the scholarships of the tribal students. The minister said that they should all follow the footsteps of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in bringing about peace with the non-Muslims through negotiations and pacts. He said that the country still wasn’t rid of terrorism and Pakistan wasn’t alone in this regard. Afghanistan and U.S were also victims. He went on to say that the tribals were a part of Pakistan and their demands related to drone attacks, terrorism and the likes were fair. He added that everyone was against drone attacks which was the worst of the barbaric attacks made on the people of the tribes.
