PESHAWAR, Sept 16: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Masood Kausar has asked graduating university students to make basic human values part of their life so as to transform the society on constructive lines.
He was speaking at a ceremony arranged for giving away cash awards to gold medalist graduates of Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST) for the sessions 2009, 2010 and 2011 at Governor’s House here on Saturday.
Provincial secretary higher education Mrs Farah Hamed Khan and KUST vice-chancellor Prof.
Nasir Jamal Khattak were also present on the occasion.
Mr Kausar congratulated the students for achieving the honours and mentioned that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was blessed with tremendous natural resources that needed efficient utilisation. He said that quality education at higher level could make this possible and hoped that the young graduates would prove their worth in this regard.
The governor highlighted the importance of sports and said that playing games was must for one’s physical and mental development.
He said that holding of this function spoke of the government’s determination to encourage talented students.
Prof. Khattak thanked the governor for inviting and honouring the gold medalist graduates of Kohat university.Dawn.
