Lakki teachers demand clearance of dues

LAKKI MARWAT, Aug 13: A delegation of Malgari Ustazan (MU), Lakki district, on Friday called on the senior officials of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Bannu and discussed with them problems of teachers and issues pertaining to holding of transparent examinations.

The MU district president Gul Malook was leading the delegation comprising provincial additional secretary Ajab Khan, district general secretary Jamil Ahmad, Naurang tehsil president Sadiqur Rehman and Lakki tehsil president Azizur Rehman.

In its meeting with BISE chairman Sardar Bahadar, the delegation urged for prompt clearance of exams duty bills of teachers.

The MU leaders said that the payment due for exams duty should be given to the teachers concerned as early as possible.

They also called upon the board authorities to assign those teachers as invigilators in the secondary school certificate (SSC) supplementary examinations who did not perform duty in the annual examinations in March last.

Mr Bahadar assured the delegation that the teachers who performed duty in the SSC and intermediate examinations would be paid their dues before Eid. He said that the teachers’ bodies should pinpoint flaws in the examination system so that sincere efforts could be made to remove the deficiencies.Nation.
