Landikotal students protest shortage of teachers

LANDIKOTAL:20 December: Students of the Government Degree College, Landikotal, on Monday held a protest demonstration from the college premises to Charwazgai Khasadar Force check post to record their peaceful protest for approval of their longstanding demands.

Landikotal Degree College students’ president Shamsuddin Shinwari led the protest demonstration with dozens of college students. The students shouted slogans in favour of their demands, against the college administration and political administration.

Shinwari said that their courses remained incomplete because of the absenteeism of the teaching staff, added that for more than 1,800 students there were only 15 teachers and majority of them didn’t bother to take classes. He said that the college administration was eager to close the college for winter vacation before time although their courses were incomplete. Their hostels are closed and there is a lack of potable water.Daily Times.
