GHALLANAI:July 21: Militants blew up two more government schools in Mohmand Agency raising the number of destroyed educational institutions in the tribal region to 98, official sources said on Friday.
The sources said the militants had planted explosives at the buildings of the Government Girls Primary School in Malik Gulandar Killay and Government Primary School, Malik Mehmood Killay in Lakaro tehsil.
The explosions were carried out at midnight with a remote-controlled device, the sources said, adding, the structures of both the schools were razed to the ground.The militants earlier destroyed the under- construction Government Primary School in Malik Mehmood Killay. “The reconstruction work on the school was almost complete when the militants targetted it with a remote-controlled explosion,” a local source said.The news.
