Islamabad:February 11: Mobilink Torchbearers, the volunteers wing of the Mobilink Foundation, participated in renovation of a JAQ Trust’s Pehli Kiran School in Islamabad, says a press release.
The activity aimed at providing a safe and child-friendly environment in the school that provides education to children from the katchi abadis surrounding Islamabad. Mobilink Torchbearers worked alongside students, teachers and community members to construct a wall around the school to protect the children from extreme weather conditions. They engaged children in activities such as face-painting, drawing and singing and emphasize on the importance of education.
Director PR and CSR, Mobilink, Omar Manzur, said, “Mobilink Foundation and its Torchbearers remain committed to the betterment of lives across Pakistan. These children are willing to brave the elements because they have a passion to learn, and we are honoured to have been able to play a part in providing them with suitable protection from natural elements.
