Islamabad:April 12: The Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) is in dialogue with the concerned authorities to ensure issuance of writers’ cards at the earliest.
It was stated by PAL Chairman Abdul Hameed during a special meeting with a group of prominent writers of Islamabad.
“I am in the process of dialogue with related authorities to make the issuance of writers’ cards possible at the earliest,” he said.
He said that writers have the power to change line of thinking of readers through their writings so PAL would continue working on different projects to produce literary work for benefit of the readers.
He calmly listened to the suggestions and recommendations of the writers and also promised that PAL would try its best to pursue them in a befitting manner.
The writers who attended the meeting included Anjum Khaleeq, Asghar Abid, Sarfraz Shahid, Shamim Ikramul Haq, Dr. Waheed Ahmed, Iqbal Hussain Ifkar, Wafa Chishti, Wahid Buzdar, Dr. Salahuddin Darwaish, Dr. Alamgir Hashmi, Fareeda Hafeez, Dr. Ahsan Akbar, Ahmed Javed, Dr. Rashid Hameed, Nelofar Iqbal and Sarwat Mohayuddin.The news.
