Peshawar: 19 May: The closing ceremony of Teradata UoP program was held at the department of Computer Science University of Peshawar. Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz was the chief guest on the occasion. Teradata offered six months free training to the students of the Department of Computer Science. During these courses Teradata experts provided market oriented skills in the field of data warehousing to students and free soft ware’s were also installed on department computers as well.
he chairman Computer Science Department Dr. Saeed Mehfooz briefed the participants on the activities going on at the department and research potential in the area of computer science in the closing ceremony. Ms. Maliha Elahi, consultant Teradata introduced Teradata as the world`s leading analytical data solutions company focused on integrated data warehousing, big data analytics and business applications. The course coordinator Dr. Azhar Rauf gave an overview about the training program and emphasized on industry-oriented research culture in the field of IT at Universities. The chief guest Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz, VC UoP stressed on the establishment of academic-industry bond for solving industries research problems at Universities and opening more job opportunities for students.
