Islamabad:April 27:The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has planned to install a plasma screen on its premises to display information about the dead and the injured shifted to the hospital after any natural or manmade disaster.
The plasma screen, according to PIMS Executive Director Professor Dr Mehmood Jamal, will help visitors know about their relatives.
Speaking to PIMS staff, who gathered to offer prayers for Bhoja Air crash victims, Professor Dr Mehmood Jamal said that since bodies of all those perished in the tragedy near Islamabad were shifted to his hospital’s mortuary, he realised that there should be a modern system on the premises to disseminate the latest information about people shifted there in case of a calamity be it natural or manmade.
He said that he had thought of getting a plasma screen installed at a prominent place near the hospital’s main entry or exit point so that visitors could know about patients or bodies shifted there.
The PIMS executive director expressed the hope that the screen’s installation would ease misery of the people searching for their relatives. The news.
