PESHAWAR, June 6: A two-day seminar on national information security began on Monday.Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) and Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) in collaboration with Riphah International University are organising the seminar.
The main objective of the seminar is to create awareness about current cyber incidents (hacking) and cyber crimes management by developing public-private partnership to cope with these cyber security challenges, according to a press release issued here.
Renowned scientist, Dr Samar Mubarik Mund, who was the chief guest, emphasised on the seriousness of the issue that might lead to major economic and social damages. He appreciated PASTIC and PSF for providing a common forum to develop public private partnership to discuss cyber security issues in Pakistan.—APP
