Islamabad:February 20:The Roots School System (RSS) Chinese Language Department, in collaboration with the Pakistan-China Institute, organised the Pakistan-China Friendship Conference 2012 at the Islamabad Club auditorium.
This was another step by Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, executive director of the Roots School System and idea sponsor of the Roots Chinese Language Initiative, and Mushahid Hussain Sayed, chairman of the Pakistan-China Institute, to warmly welcome the 22-member official delegation of Association of Cultural Exchanges with Foreign Countries, Xinjiang, China. Notable stakeholders, dignitaries, government officials, intellectuals, academicians, educational speakers, progressive thinkers, students and media-persons attended the event.
The panel of speakers for the event included Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Qiaojifu, deputy president of People’s Congress, Xinjiang, and Hanan Abbasi, founder of the Youth Senate, Pakistan.
The cultural event, which was organised to commemorate and celebrate 60-year friendship between Pakistan and China and warmly welcome the delegation from China, began with national anthems of both countries.
The event marked and showcased colourful, energetic and vibrant performances by students of the Roots School System, who entertained the audience with ‘Good Luck Dance’ and ‘Dragon Dance’. Children also paid tribute to armies of Pakistan and China, which the audience appreciated with a standing ovation.
Throughout the event, participants waved flags of Pakistan and China and chanted slogan of ‘Long Live Pakistan-China Friendship’. The event was a milestone in further strengthening the bond of friendship between Pakistan and China.The news.
