Islamabad:February 04: Students at the Annual Day Function of the Defence Authority Public School (O&A Levels) Sea View (DA School) presented a concert and talent show on Friday to celebrate the essential values of a healthy lifestyle.

“The Blooming Spring” highlighted the importance of plants for a clean and refreshing environment for all living beings. The tableau “Value of Time” stressed the significance of time in the learning years. During the function, toddlers of the pre-primary campus also displayed a captivating show of an imaginary fairyland.

The students through a play “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” portrayed the significance of outdoor activities for boys. “Darbar-e-Akbar” probed a story that reflected the corruption in our society and was highly applauded by the audience. The young and talented choir of the school also presented melodious songs in both Urdu and English languages.

CEO Napa Zia Mohyeddin, chief guest of the ceremony, said that education was the essence of life that brought refinement and enlightenment to society. He emphasised that education should be balanced, wholesome and encompassing in order to prepare confident, capable and dynamic personalities who could face the challenges of life.

He congratulated the students and staff of the school on presenting a memorable variety of programmes. He also commended their punctuality and flawless presentation. The principal, Rukhshanda Jabeen, in her annual report, said that the focus of studies in the school was on developing a spirit of inquisitiveness and curiosity among the students.

She said that the institution provided a healthy, congenial and vibrant learning environment to nurture young, fresh and receptive minds. In the end, the chief guest distributed prizes to students and teachers who had excelled in various activities.
