ISLAMABAD: PAL Public Relations Officer Tariq Shahid said Fakhar Zaman, the academy chairman, had ordered to turn down Siddiqui’s request for holding workshop, as the hall of academy has never been provided to anyone for a three-day event. “Secondly, PAL demanded a comprehensive schedule of the event including the names of the participants, and purpose of the event, but Siddiqui never provided any detail of the programme and insisted to conduct it saying he is the employee of PAL and he has the right to conduct it,” Shahid said. He said there was no truth in Siddiqui’s allegations that PAL charged writers for arranging literary activities. When contacted, PAL Chairman Fakhar Zaman did not receive the call to give his version.Daily Times.
