Star of Pakistan’ Award for Burney

LONDON: The Pakistan Achievement Awards UK and Europe has announced ‘Star of Pakistan’ international award for Chairman Ansar Burney Trust International and former Federal Minister for Human Rights Ansar Burney in recognition to his selfless and globally historical human rights services to mankind specially for peace in the region, human dignity and anti-human trafficking and anti-slavery services at international level, says a press release on Sunday.

“The Pakistan Achievement Awards UK and Europe, takes great pleasure in announcing an international award ‘Star of Pakistan’ to honour the dedicated, selfless and honourable achievements of Ansar Burney and his untiring efforts for humanity during last 30 years specially Ansar Burney Trust efforts to secure the release of 21 members of the crew whose ship was hijacked for ransom in the high seas and who (crew members) had been kept as hostages by the Somali pirates for the eleven months,” awards organisers said.

“The Pak Awards UK and Europe salutes the efforts of international human rights ‘Hero’ Ansar Burney and in recognition to his historical human rights efforts announced by Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Foundation Award for him and his Foundation the Ansar Burney Trust International.” The ‘Star of Pakistan’ Award giving ceremony to Ansar Burney will be held in a five star hotel at Grosvenor Square in London on Friday 16th of September 2011.The news.
