NOWSHERA:June 06: A student committed a suicide due to alleged misconduct of his teacher at a private school in Kheshgi on Tuesday, family sources said.
The uncle of the slain student, Liaqat Ali, said that his nephew, Osama, was a student of grade-7 in the Hira Public School and was feeling depressed due to punishment inflicted on him by one of his teachers. “Many a time he asked his parents to drop him from the school due to ill-treatment of the teacher, but his parents did not agree,” he said, adding that Osama had also begged his friends to convince his parents to drop him from the school.
Liaqat Ali said Osama consumed pesticide pills and was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Nowshera where doctors pronounced him dead. His family asked the government to initiate an inquiry into the incident and bring the teacher to justice.The news.
