PESHAWAR:March 06: Office-bearers of All Teachers’ Association (ATA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, Monday accused the government of employing delaying tactics in implementation of time-scale formula and restoration of teachers’ wards quota.
Addressing a protest rally outside the Peshawar Press Club, the ATA provincial president and senior vice-chairman Muttahida Mahaz-e-Asatiza Pakistan, Muzamil Khan Tarnabi and others said that the teaching community was facing numerous problems, but the government did not take the pain to solve their genuine issues.
They said for the last four years the teachers were deceived by giving them mere assurances. The ATA activists warned of holding protest outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on March 25 if their genuine demands were not accepted. The protesters chanted slogans against the government and demanded implementation of time-scale formula and teachers’ wards quota in the Education Department. The news.
