Thin attendance in Academic institutions

Islamabad:November 11:There was thin attendance in offices and educational institutions of federal capital on first working day on Thursday after Eidul Azha holidays.

Majority of the residents, who had gone to their hometowns to enjoy Eid festivities, have not yet returned and will avail holidays till November 13.

The capital becomes a deserted city on every Eid as most of its residents, who belong to different parts of the country, leave it for their hometown to have a good time with their loved ones.

Very thin attendance was observed in most of the educational institutions run by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and private ones.

Neelum, a student of a local government college, said, “Two weekly holidays have added the happiness of Eid as we are having more fun during these holidays.”

Some of the private institutions announced winter holidays with Eid so that students can have a chance to prepare their second term exams.

Most of the employees of private public departments took leaves for November 10 to 11 in continuation with Eid holidays and weekly offs and will join office from November 14 (Monday).

“I usually visit my hometown only on Eid due to tough office routine and this time I got more holidays to spend most of my time with my parents,” Tahir Khan, an employee, said.The news.
