PESHAWAR :December 17: Government and concerned authorities have not yet rebuild the educational institutions destroyed by militants in Mohmand agency forcing the students to either leave education or attend classes under open sky in extreme weather.During last three years, anti-literacy militants blew up 83 schools including 57 boys and 26 girls’ schools in Mohmand Agency. Most students of the destroyed school have left the education due to threat to life and few were taking classes under open sky in the intense cold weather.During cloudy weather or rain school administration has no alternative but to announce holiday as they haven’t space to accommodate the students.Despite repeated pledges and claims building of only one boys high school located in Pindiali area of the tribal agency has been completed in three years. On the other hand students and teachers are hesitant to visit school due to threats as no security has been provided to educational institutions. The tribesmen have criticized the federal government and political administration for not taking steps to rebuild the destroyed schools and provide security to existing educational institutions. They are of the view that there is abundance of talent in the agency but no opportunities due to which their children get involved in anti-society and immoral activities. They also demanded the authorities for construction of playgrounds to provide healthy environment to their children and saving them from falling in the hands of anti-state elements who in the name of protecting their rights use them for personal interests.F.P.Report.
