ایچ ای سی صوبوں کو منتقل نہیں کرنا چاہیئے

اسلام آباد: 26 مارچ: پاکستان اکیڈمی آف سائنسز کے صدر اور ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کے سابق چیئرمین ڈاکٹر عطاء الرحمان نے کہا ہے کہ ایچ ای سی کو صوبوں میں منتقل کرنا قوم سے زیادتی ہے جب کہ یہ خود مختار ادارہ ہے جس کو اٹھارویں ترمیم میں تحفظ حاصل ہے۔ اسلام آبادمیں پریس کانفرنس کے دوران ڈاکٹر عطاء الرحمان کا کہنا تھا کہ ایچ ای سی نے تحقیق کے میدان میں اپنا لوہا منوایا ہے۔ اب اگر عملدرآمد کمیشن اس کو صوبوں میں منتقل کرتا ہے تو سنٹرل اپروچ ختم ہو جائے گی اور ہم پتھروں کے زمانوںمیں واپس چلے جائیں گے۔ ایچ ای سی کے ٹکڑے کرنا ملک کے مفاد میں نہیں ہو گا۔ نیوکلیئر پروگرام سے کہیں زیادہ سائنس و ٹیکنالوجی اور اعلی تعلیم اہم ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم ایچ ای سی کے قیام کے بعد گزشتہ دس سالوں کے دوران تین ہزار سے زائد پی ایچ ڈیز کروائی گئی ہیں جب کہ اتنی 55 سالوں میں نہیں کروائی جا سکیں تھیں جب کہ اب ہماری یونیورسٹیاںبین الاقوامی رینکنگ میں بھی شامل ہو گئی ہیں اور آئندہ دس سالوں میں ٹاپ 100 یونیورسٹیوں میں شامل ہو جائیں گی۔

HEC Transfer to provinces

It is really sad and astonishing to read the comments of various peoples on the transfer of HEC fund and powers to provinces. Different quarters of society are against the transfer but isn't it irony that peoples want to concentrate the HE matters in center and don't want provinces to develop the HE according to their needs and environment. The other argument against the transfer is that provinces are capable enough to handle the HE matters, I want to inform that just take the case of Sindh, the present HEC chairman is from Sindh , The former Chairman was from Sindh, Former UGC Chairman was also from Sindh, various highly qualified and competent persons are available to run HE in proper manners. The peoples who are against the transfer are narrow minded and afraid of slipping the facilities and wested interests which they are enjoying since last 60 years.
