PAL reprints Bhutto Trial in two volumes

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) has reprinted Bhutto Trial in two volumes by famous jurist Syed Afzal Haider.

PAL Chairman Fakhar Zaman said that previously, National Commission on History and Culture, Islamabad published the book when Fakhar Zaman was its Chairman in the period of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

On the occasion of International Conference in 1995, PAL presented these books to international known scholars and jurists.

This book was reprinted on the occasion of International Conference on 'Sufism & Peace' held in 2010, and was disseminated among scholars, activists, jurists, literary and cultural academies nationally and internationally.

The chairman added that these books got more importance in the present situation as government had taken initiative to reopen the case of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed in Supreme Court.

These books include all necessary documents relating to the case and also a comprehensive report of the court proceedings. This book comprehensively proved the fact that the case against Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed was entirely malafide and based on vested interests of anti democratic forces in Pakistan. app
