ISLAMABAD: A two-day book exhibition displaying unique variety of books concluded at National Library of Pakistan on Saturday.

Various booksellers displayed their best selling titles and a large number of visitors thronged stalls in the exhibition arranged by Department of Libraries, National Library Pakistan book exhibition

The books represent human civilization and contribute in shaping economic, social and cultural fabric of societies.

Minister of State for Education Ghulam Farid Kathia inaugurated the book fair on March 12. Constructive and creative activities in the society are decreasing day by day, he observed. He said reading and library culture must be promoted in order to stimulate progress and prosperity in the country.

National Book Foundation, Academy of Letters, National Language Authority, Lok Virsa, Royal Book Co, Pak Book Corporation, Book Field International, Allied Book Co, Multi Lines Books, Mr. Books, Book Ocean, Saeed Book Bank, Progressive Book Agency, Pak American Book Co. and Oxford Books and others also participated in the exhibition.
