Islamabad:The Islamabad Police arrested an Egyptian student who went missing two months back as he could not produce any valid document to prove his identity, the police spokesman said on Friday.
He said that an FIR was lodged by the family of Abdullah under Section 365 of the PPC on May 27 that he had been missing. According to them, he was studying at the Air University in Sector E-9 and residing at Al-Asr Hotel in Markaz F-8, Islamabad. A case was also heard in the apex court after he went missing on May 24, 2011.
ASI Muhammad Ishaq of the Sabzi Mandi Police Station was on patrol along with other policemen when he stopped a man and asked him to prove his identity. He could not produce any document. Consequently, he was taken to the police station. During questioning, it was disclosed that he was an Egyptian student, Abdullah, who had been missing since May 24.
Police also recovered a CNIC and a letter of the Egyptian embassy issued in the name of Ibrahim. The verification of the documents is underway.The news.
