Facilities for doctors to be improved: Khosa

LAHORE: Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that the government is taking comprehensive steps for providing post-graduate specialisation opportunities to doctors. He said measures are underway to improve standard of medical education as well as the quality of health sciences. Sardar Khosa said that the government will provide complete cooperation and assistance for providing research facilities to post-graduate doctors and required funds would be released on priority basis. According to a hand out, he appreciated that college of physicians and surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) is playing vital role by giving opportunities for scientific research and education to postgraduate doctors. He expressed these views at 44th convocation of college of physicians and surgeons Pakistan. President CPSP Prof. Dr. Zufrullah Ch. presented welcome address on the occasion. Zulfiqar Khosa announced rupees 100 million grant for CPSP. He expressed that medical science is developing day to day and doctors must be aware of the changes in this field. Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that government would continue efforts for inland as well as foreign training of doctors and to solve their problems. He highlighted that Punjab government, under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, is committed to improve basic healthcare facilities for the people.
