Intermediate secondary education Boards all set to begin online admission

BAHAWALPUR: All the eight boards of intermediate and secondary education in Punjab are set to begin an online admission process for the upcoming matriculate supplementary examinations, 2010.

The step is being taken in pursuance of the decision of the Punjab boards committee of chairmen.

According to a press release of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bahawalpur, separate centres for male and female students will be set up at the tehsil level where candidates will provide their particulars to their respective data-entry operators for feeding the same in computers.

After the completion of the feeding process, the operator will provide him/her the challan fee form, which after the payment of the required fee in the prescribed bank branch will be attested by the head of his/her institution. The institution will then forward the online record to the board which will treat it as an admission form.

The press release added that in the same manner, after examination, steps for the computerization of answer books carrying full record of candidates, could be taken.

It said that awards lists would also be computerized for which the services of computer teachers were being hired.

The press release further says, in the same manner, the online registration process will be adopted for students seeking admission to 11th class for the intermediate session 2010-2012 and each of the educational institution will provide both soft and hard copies of their stude- nts’ particulars to their respective boards.Dawn
