September 1965 War

The September 1965 war between India and Pakistan lasted for seventeenth day India attacked Azad Kashmir and occupied some of the border post. Pakistan demanded the withdrawl of Indian forced from Azad Kashimir. This being refused. Pakistan Army advanced the chamb sector and within a few days liberated a large area of the occupied state. Indian army was completely routed.
India attacked Lahore from three sides on the 6th September 1965. It was the time when nations were made or unmade. Pakistani nation accepted the challenge. Pak force moved forward to face the enemy. The advance of the numberless Indian soldiers was stopped at the canal. In Qasur sector our forces conquered Khem Karn. It was a great blow to India.
Now the Indian attacked sialkot. They planned to capture the GT Road between Gujranwala and Wazir abad. The Muslims stood like a solid wall of lead. They repulsed very attack of the enemy. It was a great victory.
In Fazilka sector our brave soldiers captured forty square miles of enemy land. Rajastan Indian army was badly defeated and surrendered to the Pak Army a vast area of 1600 square miles.
Our naval forces too were not idle. They destroyed the Indian malala and air base at Dwarka and Sank an enemy naval ship. Lastly it is our Air Force which deserves our thanks and praise. Whithin the first few days of the war our gallant airmen attacked Indian air fields again and destroyed a large number of enemy air crafts. Indian pilots were so much afraid of our Airmen that in the last days of was they rarely crossed into Pak territory.
At last the war ended on the 23rd of September with the intervention of the UN.
