My dear Uncle
I received your kind letter yesterday and I am glad to note that mother is now perfectly well. I have taken banking and accountancy as my special subjects. Although the subjects are quite new. I find them immensely interesting. From the very beginning of my student career I had been thinking of adopting Banking as a career.
There are several reasons have induced me to choose Banking as a career . In the first place Bank job occupies a middle position between government and private service. Being an autonomous public company it provides the advantages of both the government and the private services. There is security of government job independence of private service. Secondly a bank job carries handsome salary. A person with certain qualifications is paid more by banks than by other departments. Banks provide sufficiently wide opportunity for further rise in life. Thirdly banks advance loans to their personnel on very easy terms. A person serving in a bank can very easily get his own Bank provide sufficiently wide opportunities for further rise in life. A person serving in a Bank can very easily get his own house constructed with the help of loans advanced by the bank. Besides if one wants to have a scooter or motor cycle one can easily avail oneself of the facilities provided by the bank and can have one's desire satisfied thereby. Fourthly banks play a crucial role in the development of the country. By serving in a bank I can feel a sense of participation in the development of the country. That is no small advantage.
As a bank employee. I shall help my officers to overhaul the doposit and withdrawl system so as to ensure greater and greater convenience to the customers. I shall try to train the new recruits in courtesy and civility. I shall help my officers to thoroughly examine the applications for advances and shall endeavor to reorient the bank policy in the direction in which it can render maximum of service to society.
I need not say that you also approve of my idea of choosing banking as a career and want to see me a man of dash and initiative. I seek you blessings for my success in the competition.
