An old farmer had four sons who always quarreled among themselves. This make the old man very uneasy. As he lay dying in bed he called his sons near him and asked them to bring a bundle of sticks.
He asked each of his sons to try to break that bundle. Each tried in turn but in vain the bundle would not break.
Now my son said the dying father untie the string and break all sticks one by one.
They did as they were asked to each of them broke the sticks in no time.
The dying father said " My sons there is a lesson for you united you stand divided you fall."
