The Hidden Treasure

Outline: The farmer…. On his death bed… calls his sons and says… there is a treasure in our fields .. the old man dies… his sons dig the fields but no treasure is found… They grow wheat in the fields… rich harvest… it was the treasure said one of them.
An old farmer had three sons he was very pained to see that they were all lazy and did not work. He did his best to teach them the value of hard work. But without any success one day he fell seriously ill. Feeling that his end was drawing near. He called them all of his sons and said I am afraid I am dying. A great treasure lies hidden in my fields. When I die you must dig for it.
The old man dies soon after and his sons buried him. Then they hastened to the fields and began digging with their spades. They dug up every inch of the land and turned the soil over again and again. They found no treasure but they learnt to work.
Now that the fields were thoroughly dug out. They sowed wheat in them. That year they reaped a very rich harvest. They sold the wheat for a lot of money. Now they knew that meaning of their dying father's words by treasure their father meant hard work.
Moral: Hard work always pays.
