SWABI, Jan 31: Academicians at a meeting held at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology on Monday urged the brilliant Pakistani students to return to their country after completing higher education abroad. The participants pointed out that majority of outstanding students stayed back after completing their studies abroad.
Prof Khalid Aziz of University of Stanford, US, Jehangir Bashar, Rector GIK Institute, Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Pro-Rector (academic), Ahmad Shamsul Huda, Pro-Rector admin and finance and deans of the faculties attended the meet.“Pakistan needs first-class scientists. There is huge shortage of outstanding academic staff in universities to teach science subjects. Unless Pakistan have good scientists and excellent academia it might be difficult for it to become a prosperous country,” said Prof Aziz.Dawn
