83 female teachers appointed

MANSEHRA, Feb 4: The government on Friday appointed 83 female teachers on the vacant posts in Battagram.

“As the shortage of female teachers was badly affecting education of girls the government has filled 83 vacant posts on merit,” said Saeed Khan, the Executive District Officer, Education, while taking to reporters here on Friday.

Mr Khan said a total of 98 male and female teachers were appointed on the vacant posts, which would enhance the performance and standard of education in the district.

“The newly appointed teachers would be posted to the remote areas of the district, which were facing shortage of female teachers,” said the EDO education. He said teachers were also appointed on two per cent quota of disable teachers. He said the government was focusing on women education especially in rural areas.Dawn.
