Mehfil-e-Milad’ held at Roots School System

Islamabad:Students and teachers of the Roots School System, DHA Phase-I Campus, celebrated the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him) by organising a ‘Mehfil-e-Milad’.
Begum Zahida Ashfaq Pervez Kiani was the chief guest. The ‘milad’ was attended by a large number of guests, students and their mothers. The beautiful gold marquee was decorated with purple and pink velvet panels with ‘jamawar’ border. A huge calligraphic painting by the art students as the backdrop enhanced the overall effect of serenity and tranquillity.

The huge stage with sixty-five students clad in beautiful pink ‘mukesh dupattas’, gold and purple shirts added a unique ambiance. Even the baskets of souvenirs that little girls were holding were also decorated with ribbons and buntings of the theme colour.

On the arrival, the guests were lavished with rose petals and were presented with garlands. The event was conceptualised by the Director Roots School System Khadija Omair. The students recited ‘Hamd’, ‘Na’at’, ‘Salam’ and the recitation of ‘Darood’ with frequent intervals. The students narrated the importance of mother, parents and paid tribute to the life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him), which is embellished with strength of character, integrity, endurance and courage.

The ‘milad’ concluded with special prayers for the prosperity of the country and the safety of its people. The news
