ISLAMABAD: World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Pakistan launched its Earth Hour with the Green Schools to celebrate a worldwide commitment to ongoing change for the betterment of the planet earth.
Atika Odho inaugurated Earth Hour 2011 with WWF Pakistan and Green Schools, including Roots School System, Beaconhouse School System, ACE International Academy and Froebel’s International School at Roots Schools System. The students from these schools lit candles and marched with Atika to take responsibility, to get involved and lead the global journey for preserving diversity of fauna and flora of earth. Hour 2011 will take place on March 26 at 8:30pm. Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, when 2.2 million individuals turned their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change Earth. app
