Progress linked to standard of institutions
Lahore :September 18: Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has underlined the need to strengthen Pakistan’s vital institutions according to the international level.
The progress of nations depends upon the standard of institutions, particularly, the educational institutions, Rana Mashhood said and added that, without achieving this goal, we could not claim equality with our traditional rival India.
Addressing a seminar here Tuesday, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan claimed that the past rulers had misused the foreign loans to the tune of billions of rupees. This practice can not continue as the Pakistani nation has risen to the principles practiced by the forefathers of Pakistan, he said.

The minister said that we talk of friendship with India on equality basis but this spirit is lacking on the Indian side. We can only claim equality with our rivals if we succeed to strengthen our national institutions by building them up to the international mark, he said. He announced transforming all those public sector schools into “Smart Schools” by installing wifi system where the computer labs already exist. The seminar was also addressed by eminent jurists and journalists.
