National Students Federation Rally killings of Hazaras
Karachi:04 July:The left-wing National Students Federation organised a demonstration to condemn another barbaric bomb attack on the Shia Hazara community in Quetta on Monday at the Karachi Press Club (KPC).
Expressing her views, a member of the Organizing Committee of the NSF-Karachi, Fatima Zaidi, said the barbaric attack on the Hazara Shia community and the government’s policy of holding a dialogue with the perpetrators of the bloodshed, instead of bringing them to book, were evidence enough that the state was not taking this matter seriously.
Another member of the organising committee, Fawad Hasan, said that increasing terrorism in the province made it clear that the state was not interested in protecting its citizens but was instead focusing on some external agenda.
If the new government too cannot play an effective role in eliminating terrorism then we will not have any other choice but to accept the fact that they are all the same and all they want is power for themselves,” Hasan said.
NSF General Secretary Mir Askari, speaking at the event, said that Balochistan, due to its geographical location as well as its resources, had earned quite a lot of importance. However, the deteriorating situation in the province as well as the failure of state institutions to curb violence in the area was resulting in the worst possible conditions for not only its inhabitants but also for the state. The news.
