Karachi Degree college admissions begin for BA, B.Sc, B.Com
Karachi, Jan 16: The process of admission to degree classes in the Karachi University's affiliated colleges for the year 2009 began on Thursday with the issuance of admission forms.
According to KU Registrar Prof Mohammad Rais Alvi, all those seeking admission to first and second year degree classes in the affiliated colleges are required to submit the admission forms and fee by Feb 2. The classes were scheduled to commence on the same date, he said.
However, he said, candidates applying for admission to degree classes could submit admission forms along with a late fee of Rs500 up to Feb 16.
He pointed out that the last date for submission of enrolment forms along with fee by the students of first year degree classes had been fixed as March 14 though they could submit the forms along with a late fee of Rs500 till March 31.
A Karachi University spokesman has said that all students who have passed their examination equivalent to Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) must obtain equivalence certificates from the Intermediate Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) and submit the same along with admission forms in the colleges where they apply for admission.
