Thirteen Impersonators held in Paper of Mathematics
Lahore : September 25: THIRTEEN impersonators were caught during the paper of Mathematics held under the ongoing Secondary School (Supplementary) Examination 2013 of Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Tuesday.
According to a spokesperson for the board, all the impersonators were caught from the exam centre at 49-A Shahrah-e-Majeed Nizami in both morning and evening sessions.
In the morning session, four impersonators were caught and handed over to police. They were cheating for roll numbers, including 130,407; 130,814; 130,203. A candidate appearing under roll number 107,281 was caught and handed over to police for mutually replacing answer-book with the candidate appearing under roll number 107,090. A candidate (roll number 131,783) was found using unfair means. Unfair means cases were registered against all these candidates.
In the evening session, nine impersonators were handed over to police who were cheating for candidates having roll numbers 126,566; 127,079; 127,269; 127,540; 127,807; 127,847; 128,506; 133,034; 131,461. A case of unfair means was also registered against roll number 133,067.
Meanwhile, two unfair means cases against roll numbers 124,553 and 124,554 were also registered at Government Islamia High School, Sheikhupura centres. BISE Chairman Prof Muhammad Nasrullah Virk has instructed the controller of examinations that all the candidates must invariably be thoroughly checked daily with regard to their photo files before they were allowed to take examination.
Child labour survey: The child rights activists have called for a comprehensive survey about child labour by the federal and provincial governments. Society for the Protection of the Rights of Child (SPARC) organised stakeholders’ meeting on “The Status of Implementation and Enforcement of ILO Conventions Regarding Child Labour in Pakistan” at a local hotel.
