One Hundred fifty Students Perform At Variety Show
MULTAN :July 2:About three hundred students of 7 government schools, including 150 boys and girls, presented a variety show at Multan Arts Council (MAC) on Monday.
US Council General Lahore Nina Fite was the chief guest while the show was organized by Indus Research and Development Organi­zation (IRDO).
The students presented skits on the importance of education for girls, against terrorism and the growing trend of quacks. The chief guest appreciated the hard work of the students.
The programme was organized by The English Access Micro Scholarship Programme which provides a foundation of English language skills to non-elites between the ages of 14 and 18 year olds through after school classes and intensive summer learning activities.
Access students are trained to participate in US exchange and study programmes.
Since its inception in 2004, over 70,000 students in more than 85 countries have participated in the Access Programme.
